The Serb National Council, the national coordination of Councils of the Serb national minority, has an Assembly, Presidency, Supervisory Board, President, Deputy President, Secretary General, five Vice Presidents and the Council.
The Council’s Assembly
The Council’s Assembly consists of delegates of SNC members and of representatives of the Serb national minority in the counties where we do not meet conditions for the election of a council. The Assembly adopts the Statute, the Rules of Procedure, and the Work Program, adopts the Financial Plan and Final Budget and decides on the election and dismissal of the SNC’s president and deputy president. This body also makes decisions on cooperation with coordinations, organisations and institutions from the country and abroad and decides on SNC’s new goals and activities.
Presidency
The Presidency is SNC’s executive and coordination body which consists of the President, Deputy President, Vice Presidents and presidents of all county Councils and elected representatives at the county level. This body’s task is to coordinate the implementation of SNC’s decisions, to consider all decisions within the Council’s competence, and to prepare and propose acts and decisions from its jurisdiction to the Assembly. Among other things, this body monitors and directs the work of SNC’s permanent and temporary working bodies, puts forward proposals for the improvement of their work and coordinates activities.
Supervisory Board
The SNC’s Supervisory Board consists of the president and four members, and their task is to ensure that the work of all SNC bodies is lawful and in accordance with the statute. The Board’s other tasks include material and financial affairs and the use of assets; It also proposes measures in the event of irregularities in the work of SNC bodies and proposes acts and takes decisions within its jurisdiction.
